Those eligible to participate in the survey received an envelope at home with the invitation letter. On the back of this invitation letter, there is a code to access the online questionnaire.
The data collected with the questionnaire is coded (the name is replaced by a code), then deidentified (the names and codes are removed) at the end of the survey.
In the case of a scientific publication, it is not possible to attribute the data to a person; the participants‘ names will never appear on Internet or in a publication.
All persons involved in the surveys in any way are bound to confidentiality, including between physicians.
We comply with all data protection guidelines. The surveys are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss law.
The competent cantonal ethics commission has controlled and approved SCAPE-1, SCAPE-2 and SCAPE-CH.
The information sheet for SCAPE-CH, which explains why we are conducting this survey, how it will be carried out, data confidentiality (processing, protection) and the benefits and risks associated with the survey, can be found below in German, French or Italian.
